vitamins (All Natural, Supplements & Diet)

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew why this is happening? Whenever I take any type of vitamins( Biotin, iron or multi-vitamin) my hair shed doubles? My hair started thinning when I started taking biotin to grow my hair longer, Yes I am a female, but I wanted to grow the highlights out faster, so I could dye my hair back to my natural color. I went to see a hollistic DR. and he put me on all types of vitamins and my hair was falling in clumps? Does anyone know why this could be?
