ť had 3000 put on what appears to be less than 1/3 of his thinning area.
ť How will he cover the remaining 2/3 with the same amount of grafts? Will
ť the rear be thinner or are you saying the rear as in a bald spot that
ť needs to be filled in?

It might be hard to understand to some young readers that some patients intentionally do NOT want a straight teenage hairline. We give the patients the choice of the design. This case is a perfect example of giving the patient the hairline HE desired.

Typically transplants have higher density in the front, lower density towards to crown. The top of the scalp (hairline to crown) is easily 140 cm2. The amount of grafts needed at high density to cover a bald area would be too much and we have not even touched the crown.

BTW, we have patient that opt for lower density, more coverage. Most of them come back for more density however.
