Another 3rd Week Report: Nizoral Cream Relieves Itch, Hair Growth in Temples? (Propecia, Avodart, Spiro, DHT & hormones ...)

» » » » » » » I am going to start a log of my results on the following
» regime
» » » » which
» » » » » I
» » » » » » am
» » » » » » » in the process of starting up. But first I have some
» questions
» » » » that
» » » » » » are
» » » » » » » asked in the parantheses below:
» » » » » » »
» » » » » » » 0.5 Dutasteride daily
» » » » » » » Rogaine Foam 2x daily (should I only apply it to the crown
» and
» » » » vertex
» » » » » » or
» » » » » » » also to my hairline)?
» » » » » » » Nizoral 2% cream (how often do people suggest?)
» » » » » » » 1g Lysine daily
» » » » » » » 2,000 mcg Biotin daily
» » » » » » » 4 g daily MSM
» » » » » » » 10g of L-Arginine (this is said to stimulate the release of
» » » growth
» » » » » » » hormone, especially in those who exercise)
» » » » » » » Multivitamin
» » » » » » »
» » » » » » » Any thoughts?
» » » » » »
» » » » » » Okay, only two days since my last post. Two things have
» changed.
» » » » » Firstly,
» » » » » » I actually received my order of Nizoral Cream. I thought all my
» » » scalp
» » » » » itch
» » » » » » was gone, but when I apply the cream it really takes away a
» » slight
» » » » itch
» » » » » » that I still apparently had. Will this help? Something tells
» me
» » » it's
» » » » a
» » » » » » good sign.
» » » » » »
» » » » » » I have seen some thin, light-colored hairs growing in my temple
» » » » region.
» » » » » » Signs of some Dutasteride-spurred regrowth? It does certainly
» » seem
» » » » that
» » » » » » these hairs would not be there without some element of my
» regime
» » » » making
» » » » » it
» » » » » » so. I am resisting spending too much time scanning my scalp for
» » new
» » » » » growth.
» » » » » » I'll be convinced if things are significantly different 6
» months
» » or
» » » » » after.
» » » » »
» » » » » not sure about combining the niz cream with dut, you are taking a
» » lot
» » » » of
» » » » » stuff that might conflict
» » » » » i had a pretty noticeable shed starting about 6 wks with the niz
» » » cream,
» » » » so
» » » » » be prepared for that
» » » »
» » » » Thanks, Hangin'. I appreciate your message. I get the notion that
» » maybe
» » » » some of these things are not good to mix, perhaps for reasons
» unknown.
» »
» » » » But wouldn't that be the same for Nizoral cream and SP/Beta as well
» » --
» » » and
» » » » that seems to work for you?
» » »
» » » is the DUT a topical or what is that
» »
» »
» » Dutasteride: I get it in generic form from Dr. Reddy's (I think it's
» » called). 0.5mg. It's a pill. I could see the viewpoint that two
» topicals
» » mixing might have cross-purpose effects. But two anti-DHT medications
» one
» » topical the other a pill, would that?
»
» that i am not sure, but since the dut has a bad reputation of side effects
» and it is a drug, and the natural dht blockers well are you taking any
» naturals saw palmetto etc?

I was taking SP intermittently. My hair loss has slowed for a few years while I have taken various vitamins and things like SP (very little hair in the sink), but with little regrowth was still proceeding steadily. I decided to put together this regime to try to regrow hair in the way you discussed it in your post.

The side effects are there for me, but I'll deal with them for awhile and then cycle of Dut for awhile. Also, they haven't killed my libido just slowed it down a bit.
