5th week update: headaches stopped, libido getting better, no scalp itch (Propecia, Avodart, Spiro, DHT & hormones ...)

» I am going to start a log of my results on the following regime which I am
» in the process of starting up. But first I have some questions that are
» asked in the parantheses below:
»
» 0.5 Dutasteride daily
» Rogaine Foam 2x daily (should I only apply it to the crown and vertex or
» also to my hairline)?
» Nizoral 2% cream (how often do people suggest?)
» 1g Lysine daily
» 2,000 mcg Biotin daily
» 4 g daily MSM
» 10g of L-Arginine (this is said to stimulate the release of growth
» hormone, especially in those who exercise)
» Multivitamin
»
» Any thoughts?

0.5mg Dutasteride daily
Rogaine Liquid 2x daily (with L-Carnitine added)
Nizoral 2% cream usually once daily
Nizoral 1% shampoo twice a week
1g Lysine daily
1 tablet of Maxi Hair
3 g daily MSM
10g of L-Arginine (this is said to stimulate the release of growth hormone, especially in those who exercise)
Multivitamin
6-8 grams of Fish Oil

The headaches I was having have subsided. I think I'll stay on DUT and take days off now and then. If I'm not mistaken, it helps to take it with food.

- Hair loss: No appreciable loss or shedding. Haven't had any major shedding for years since making fish oil and vitamins a regular thing.
- Hair growth: Minor, minor signs of growth around temples. Frankly, haven't been tracking my "bald spot" area.
- Libido: Diminished, but coming back
- Other side effects: Drastic slowing of beard growth as others have reported.
- Good side effect: All my scalp itch is gone. My scalp feels very good. I'd like to see a good explanation of what causes the scalp to itch during the hair loss process. The itch feels just like the itch that occurs during when one has a scab from a healing wound. It seems very possible to me that the itching process is related to the closing off of blood flow to the scalp, that the process is one of inflammation and scarring and loss of blood flow altogether. This is all pure speculation. But on this regime, my scalp feels as if it is nourished and refreshed.

I am waiting for the reputed 6-8 week shed from DUT to see if anything happens.
