C urcumin has a number of biological actions in addition to being an anti-oxidant. It also inhibits 5a-reductase, which converts testosterone
to 5a-dihydrotestosterone.

The other actions -

Antibacterial
Antiprotozoan
Antiviral
Hypolipemic
Hypoglycemic
Anticoagulant
Antioxidant
Antitumour
Anticarcinogenic
