Yes, this kind of technology is the kind that looks most promising -- i.e. something using natural body processes like stem cells and growth factors. However, I wouldn't get hopes up rapidly for three reasons:

1) It could take a long time to be perfected and become available.
2) Based on the complicated nature of the product/procedure, I predict it will cost something on the order of what Lasik surgery costs.
3) There was nothing said about how durable those new follicles will be -- or how resistant to androgens.

Nonetheless, it seems quite promising....
