The guy had a valid albeit short-sighted question regarding cancer.

Some of humanities most mediocre inventions tend to shed light on more profound discoveries. Follicle regeneration could lead way to limb/ organ/ tissue regeneration... which in-turn could spill over to novel cancer treatments.

In the short-term, a cure for hairloss will address many of the psychological pitfalls that come with balding, it will help burn victims, chemo patients, and women (the gender that can't get away with a shaved head).
