"Why should science focus on hairloss instead of cancer?"

1. Because I would rather have died when I was 20 than have lived these past 40 years bald.

2. Had my baldness been cured, I would have been able to leave the house without disgrace, to go to medical school. After which, I--being Ahab the Wise--surely would have found a cure for cancer by now.
