One of Histogen's significant applications for HGEN-001 is its utilization as an injectable for hair growth. The combination of wnt proteins and growth factors making up HGEN-001 has been shown to both stimulate resting hair follicles and induce new follicle formation.

In May 2007, these findings were substantiated by research performed by
Dr. George Cotsarelis, which offered further evidence that these growth factors and proteins in combination lead to a significant increase in the creation of new hair follicles in mice.

They claim in the PDF document that clinical trials produced alot of hair growth and show you pictures of two mice that do indeed have hair growth in bald spots. They also claim a product could be ready by 2015..................but why so long out there if its a sure thing? Senseless..............That is seven years from now. If they are sure, it would be sooner. Its almost weird saying "expected launch date 7 years from now". If they are that confident, then go ahead and recruit volunteers and have a damned trial beginning next month. Until they have grown hair on AT LEAST human skin grafted onto a SCID mouse, Im not going to get excited. To be honest, this company seems to be at the state that Aderans or ICX was four years ago, just starting. They are up on WNT being a pathway that can be used to induce things along......................


Im not going to laugh at them like Hangin' did, and its great to have another company interested, but this is "out there" a ways for certain. They certainly speak confidently in the PDF file, but Washenik used to speak very confidently, and now he hardly speaks at all.
