ť ť I agree and disagree about the pictures. They are good enough to tell
ť ť that there is a huge improvement. But, with better after pictures we
ť could
ť ť see the detailing of the hairline design, etc.

ť ť It is a good result, to be sure, and the hairs per graft transplanted is

ť ť very nice bonus for the patient.

ť ť I can't help but wonder, what is the plan for this patient's future?

ť ť will likely loose the hair in the midscalp and much of the crown. The
ť ť lateral humps will probably disappear over time. With 4100 already
ť ť harvested to create the thick frontal third, how will this patient deal
ť ť with the future? Will he be able to match the same density as he
ť maintains
ť ť a natural appearance? Will the crown be an option, or will he only
ť focus
ť ť on the front and middle for future transplant? What are your thoughts?

ť You raise an important point concerning hair restoration, future planning
ť and donor management. This patient was well "hair educated" he has been on
ť meds for some time and obviously knows the importance to continue. He had
ť his own ideas as to what he wanted to achieve with his first procedure,
ť knowing he would be looking at others in the future. His first priority was
ť to recreate his hair line along with the frontal third with good density.
ť This was achieved as we can see, a slightly conservative hair line and
ť placing hair into the lateral humps where there were signs of
ť miniaturisation and potential loss in the future, so your concerns where
ť actually addressed as the area was shaved down to assess the
ť miniaturisation exactly for this reason.
ť
ť He was not only blessed with slightly higher than average groups but also
ť higher than average density in the donor,a great HT candidate, so we are
ť not suggesting he is an average patient. He was diffused NW5 prior and in
ť his mid 30's, with a strong defined patterning around the peripheral
ť already, that had been constant for some years. As for future loss, he is
ť in no hurry for more and ready to see any progression of loss, he is not
ť expecting full restoration in respect of consistent density throughout and
ť aware over time, if need be, he reaches the crown the density and infact
ť coverage may have to be sacrificed, as good as his characteristics are and
ť the hair line design being made appropriate for his age and indeed the
ť future as well as preserving the donor whilst reaching his goals. He has
ť options in terms of techniques for the future, it would be prudent when he
ť decides to go Strip again and then later FUE to open the donor area
ť further, but step by step with planning.
