Arginine and GH does work better with younger people so the things you are saying make sense; I've been told it can work for people up to about 50. I don't think I ever recall seeing people say that it works to boost IGF before or after workout. What I read is that it enhances the natural release of IGF at night when one sleeps (which is the main release time of IGF). And for this megadosing is required: 10-12g, on an empty stomach, before you go to bed. In powder form, it is indeed horrible. But I get Now L-Arginine in powder form over the internet (www.iherb.com or any other place).

Regarding sexual performance, again, this is a different use of Arginine. I take 2-3,000 mg about 30 minutes before bedding a woman.
