please be honest and tell me this (Hair Transplant)

A good rule of thumb is to multiply your NW x 1000 grafts.

It is not an exact count, but it tends to give you a decent idea of what is needed.

However, a NW7 is unlikely to have enough donor hair to get 7000 grafts.

At 2900 I would look to maximize your remaining donor and make sure you build up your sides/lateral humps and forget any real crown work.

Some patients who achieve an excellent result over a large balding area 200+cm often choose to establish a natural, age appropriate hairline followed by transplanting 30-35 fu's cm/2 over 200cm of baldness (this equals 6000 grafts)

They then shave down as far as their resulting scar allows them (for most good docs a #3-#4) and they get a slight tan and look 100% better.

It is all in your expectations.

If you have done 2900 grafts via strip, I would suggest doing 1 larger surgery via strip (2500-3000 grafts if possible) and if the resulting scar is excellent, switch to FUE--to extract those last few grafts.

It may take some time, but in the right hands, you could have an excellent result.

Take Care,
Jason
