what are good gun info websites? or anyone knows the ins and outs of firearms? (Support & General Discussions)

this is probably the wrong place to ask but this is the place i feel comfortable asking

what are the ins and outs to learn about acquiring firearms? is it better to get a license or get firearm from gunshows? where , i am lead to believe you do not need a license?

is it safer without a license because there would be less likely headaches being blamed for anything that happens?
