Hey Abcxyz

Thanks for replying.

I understand that the foam works great for some people and if the vellus hairs it has grew in me became terminal I would be very very happy with the results.

However I am in no doubt what so ever its the foam that has caused my shed.

I am taking:

Proscar 1.25 everyday for 1 year (fair-good results on crown but no growth at hair line)

Niz 1% on and off for 5 years (not sure of results)

Until 2 days ago Rogaine Foam for 6 month (lots of vellus hairs/mayor sheds)

I had used foam last year but stopped using it after a shed (Not as severe as now however I stopped using it early on)

This time I decided to give it a good year and ride out the sheds as usually the fact you are shedding is a good sign.

The first shed started about 3-4 weeks into treatment causing an inch of hair bearing scalp to become totally bald really quick.

The hair grew back filling in the inch albeit it thin, the hair got to about an inch and a half in length before it shed again clearing the whole inch close to the treated area.

The hair then grew back again filling in the inch this time getting to about an inch in length but sadly about 2 weeks ago the shed started again and has cleared the same inch size of scalp.

(Just to confirm I am in no way knocking foam, I like foam apart from the sheds as its so quick and easy to use and if it wasn't for my upcoming transplant I would still be using foam hoping for good growth after the sheds)

Sorry for the long post and thanks to all who read it.
