FUE? What's up with Gho? (Hair Multiplication & Research)

posted by vukedlok, 14.10.2008, 11:49

First, let me say that I'm a bit surprised that my comment created such controversy, especially since the controversy had nothing to do with my statement.

Second, I'm impressed with the results of FUE, but the one thing I don't like about it is when the folical is harvested, it's gone for good. Now, I visited a derm. Dr. who specialized in hair (on of the top ones in my area), and he told me I wouldn't be a candidate for FUE because the hairs in the back are too spread out, leaving to little to work with. As I recall (and as I researched at Gho's site), Gho created a technique that would remove only part of the folicle, the harvested partial folical would still be viable in the transplant area, and would regrow (he states a 70% recovery in the doner area).

Do we have ANY verification of this at all? Other than Gho, has anyone else confirmed the claim? In journals, perhaps? Hairsite, if you're still out there (and it's been a long time since we've communicated), what so you? You went to Gho a long time ago for your own treatment (though it was pre-hair recovery - how did it work out for you these many years?). You developed a good relationship with Gho, as I recall. Any inside scoop?
