ugly duckling (Hair Transplant)

» I have inserted some more donor scar pics at 2.5 weeks demonstrating my
» previous comments. The first pic shows the scar line at this stage and the
» second pic is a close up showing how difficult it is to find the line. The
» change in hair direction can be seen. At this early point the donor is
» mostly detectable only because the hair just above the scar did not have
» FUE taken and therefor this hair is just a little longer and the hair
» underneath is thinner. There is a little scabbing around some of the
» intermittent (rather than running) stitches which are also slightly raised
» but I am confident this will resolve soon. One thing which is quite
» interesting is that although there is little discomfort in the donor area,
» It is very uncomfortable and almost painful if I yarn / use the ocipital
» muscles in the back of my head (the muscles that are used when people move
» their ears). These are all very temporary issues I assume.
»
» Unfortunately I do have a large unsightly confluent scab due to bleeding on
» the first day. In retrospect it might have been better for the clinic or
» myself to more thoroughly wash this at the time before the blood congealed,
» although the consequence was not clear. Having said this, Dr. Rahal (and
» his chief technician, mike) told me that the scab should not be a problem
» and the grafts were in situ and growth would not be effected but clearly it
» will take more time to resolve and is frustrating. Although the zoomed pic
» looks scary it is dry and I cannot see or feel any infection.
»
» Going on an adventure during the early recovery period has not been my
» greatest idea and I am mostly inside hotels as I cannot swim, go in the sun
» (I am not so keen on hats) or exercise. White water rafting is definitely
» out. I may go home early since I still have to nurture things carefully and
» it seems that the whole first month is difficult.
»
» Apart from waitng for this scab to heal I guess it is now a month by month
» thing which I knew I would not look forward to.
»
» As can be seen much of the new hair is allready gone so in the ugly
» duckling. Having said this what original hair was there seems to be growing
» back which reflects well on the surgery since I guess it was not too badly
» traumatised.
»

That's amazing, a strip transplant without any signs of the strip scar. Does the scar go across the entire back of your head or only the left side, it looks like the picture is from the left side? Did Dr. Rahal promise you an undetectable strip scar before the surgery?

Good luck.
