Hi Everyone, Most people think a true leader is someone who tells them what they want to hear. Politicians have known this for thousands of years, so that is exactly what they do, but in truth, these people are true manipulators, not leaders. A true leader has only good intentions, and his advice never carries a price tag that includes benefit for himself, nor does it include popularity for himself, and I know I am a highly unpopular guy at the moment. (I am sorry my posts all run together, but I can't seem to get blank lines working). Let's review some of the things that have happened since we were willing to become ACTIVE. Hairsite thinks enough of what we are doing to take care of costs and give us a prominent position on its home page. We are approached by a hair-transplant surgeon who wants to work with us, and now after 2 years, and a hundred requests, we are about to receive some information from Gho. It seems to me that becoming active has been a very fruitful event for us, so far. I don't want to beat you over the head about it, but I was also hugely unpopular when I was trying to convince you guys to become active. So perhaps I just might be a pretty wise person, with your best intentions in mind. The timing of Gho's response is so highly indicative of manipulation that it really got me peeved. I happen to think Gho is just another person trying to become extremely wealthy. I don't think he cares anything about you, nor do I think he should. I think he will do whatever is in his best interest, which includes manipulation, if it gives him time to accomplish his goals. But frankly, I don't care if you want to think of him as your guardian angel, as long as it does not cause you to stop taking an active role, and be complacent once again. We already know what 2 years of twiddling our thumbs has gotten us - 2 years of twiddling our thumbs. I don't know about you guys, but my thumbs have been twiddled out !!!! I want this site to become a prominent force in regards to HM. If we become large and strong, we can be very helpful to all people suffering from hair loss. We can be an entity that all HM-suppliers, whatever profession that turns out to be, feel a need to please. In otherwards, we can become somewhat of a consumer advocacy group, letting people know where to go to get good jobs, and who also to stay away from, thereby playing a role in keeping the quality of HM procedures to high standards. If we continue to work towards this goal, we do not need Gho, but he might need us. This is not rocket science, nor is Gho an Einstein. If given the incentive and the environment, there could be many, many researchers involved, and an extremely good solution would arise, much better than if one person tries to monopolize it, so I really feel that Gho MIGHT be more of a hindrance than a help towards the long-term goal of having a good, AFFORDABLE product in the future. I have one huge advantage over the rest of you, that perhaps gives me a better mind-set towards leadership - my main reason for being here, is not about my personal hair loss. I have most of my hair, and am 45, so it does not keep me from anything, so I am not emotionally vulnerable. But I do understand that it can be hugely depressing for a younger person, so my 2 motives for being here are to help these people get their hair back, and to be an example for others, that being willing to act and organize is the way to have a say in what it is that you want to accomplish. So, I truly hope that everyone gets the hair that they very much want, and so I tend to get irritated when I see someone whom I think is attempting to take advantage of anothers emotional vulnerabilities. Take care.
