You're completely missing the point, Guy. I was *assuming* that you would look at the date on that study I mentioned and notice that it came out in 1996!!

In other words, they knew about the combined effect of finasteride and MK386 well in advance of Propecia, and WAY in advance of dutasteride!! And yet they chose not to come out with the combination! The big question: WHY?

BTW, what you said about dutasteride inhibiting type 2 to "a much greater degree" than finasteride is completely misleading. Dutasteride is more *potent* than finasteride, but you simply make up for that by using a larger *quantity* of finasteride. You end up with the same amount of type2 suppression.
