• The most essential of the Nisim product line is the "Hair Stimulating Extract". One of the key ingredients of the herbal extract is "Saw Palmetto", also known as "Serenoa Repens". It has been suggested that saw palmetto have the same effect as the drug "finasteride" but without the side effects. Research has shown that the drug finasteride can slow down the formation of D.H.T - a derivative of the male hormone testosterone which is known to be the main cause of hair loss.
• Although reseach has proved that finasteride can slow down hair loss and in some cases stimulate regrowth, it has also been proved that a small percentage of the people taking finasteride has diminished sex drive as a result of the drug. In addition, women are cautioned against taking the drug because of concerns about birth defects.
• In view of the side effects that come with the drug finasteride, saw palmetto becomes the NATURAL alternative. Nisim is one of the few products in the industry that are formulated with saw palmetto, although many companies are catching on these days.
• Nisim's herbal extract has been clinically tested on 148 participants with varying degrees of male pattern baldness. After using the herbal extract for 5 months, 85.7% of the participants reported an increase in hair count of 30% or more.   Having felt that I'd been scammed on a lot of products promising to grow my hair back, I was really skeptical when my hairdresser told me about the Nisim products and wanted me to try them. She told me that the shampoo would stop my hair from falling out in the first week of using it and that the company guaranteed it. I figured that for $10 and a promise that I could get my money back if it didn't work, I had nothing to lose but the hair I had already lost ! Well, was i suprised that my hair did stop falling out. I couldn't believe it. It also made my hair feel and look great.

  Anaway, I decided to go back to my hairdresser and try the extract. It's really easy to use, jsut massage it in 2 times a day. The other products I've tried had so many products and steps that after a while I just got fed up cause I couldn't keep track of what to do next. Expensive too !

  I've been using Nisim for just over a year now and I really have regrown a lot of the hair I lost all over the top of my head. It took me about 5 months to really notice but my girlfriend said she thought it was thicker after 4. I just can't believe that there acutally is a product out there that does what it says and doesn't cost an arm and a leg to use it !

  This letter is regarding the posting that you made to the Hairsite regarding nisim. Could I ask you a few questions.
  
  First, when you say that your hair stopped falling out after about a week, does that mean that you stopped falling out completely or that there was a reduction in your hair loss? The product that I am using now has reduced my daily hair loss a very good bit, and it has eliminated the itching and flaking that I used to have with my scalp. However, it costs me a fortune.
  
  Second, what other products have you tried and did you get any results?
  
  Third, how old are you and for how long have you been losing your hair?
  
  I am 23 and my hairloss started when I was about 20, but this early loss wasn't really significant and was barely noticable to anyone other than the woman who cuts my hair. Lately however my hair loss has increased. Any advice on products to try or products to stay away from would be greatly appreciated.
