| HAIRSITE'S REVIEW |
- Definitely check out this article about Azelaic Acid cream used
in conjunction with Crinagen - HairSite Library Abstract
# 65
- Crinagen is an all natural topical lotion designed for hair
loss. It is formulated by Dr. Razack, MD who is also the author of the book
"Conquering Hair Loss" - a comprehensive and up-to-date publication on hair
loss.
- Crinagen can be used by both men and women for hair loss. The key
ingredients in Crinagen are:
- Zinc Acetate
- Vitamin B6
- Saw Palmetto
- Niacin
- Ginkgo
- Polysorbate 20
- Glycerin
- Crinagen is formulated with all natural ingredients that are known to
have positive effects for hair growth. Although all of the above ingredients have been
around for many years and none of them represents any technological breakthrough in any
sense, Dr. Razack is one of the few who uses the synergies among the above ingredients to
treat hair loss.
- In comparison to the recent attention around Propecia ( the first ever
anti-baldness pill for men) and Rogaine Extra Strength For Men (5% minoxidil), I would
simply put that Crinagen is the ALL NATURAL ALTERNATIVE to Propecia and Rogaine Extra
Strength at a fraction of the price and without the side effects. Dr. Razack
formulated Crinagen with all natural ingredients to do what Propecia and Rogaine are
supposed to do for hair loss:
- To inhibit the enzyme 5-alpha reductase which converts testosterone to
DHT - the main cause of hair loss for most people
- To enhance blood circulation to hair follicles
- For example, both Saw Palmetto and Zinc are known to be effective
antiandrogen. Antiandrogens are agents that suppress the effects of certain kinds of male
hormones and they can be particularly important in treating hair loss.
- Research has shown that when zinc is used in high concentrations, it
reduces or even eliminates DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) by inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha
reductase. DHT is known to be the main cause of baldness. It is a derivative of the male
hormone testosterone and is formed in the presence of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase.
Studies have confirmed that the presence of 5-alpha reductase and DHT in hair follicles of
individuals suffering from hair loss.
- Similarly, it has been suggested that Saw Palmetto is also an
effective 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. In fact, Saw Palmetto is very common in Germany for
treating benign prostate enlargement. Many believe that prostatic disease and hair loss
are both related to DHT which is caused by the enzyme 5-alpha reductase.
- In addition, Crinagen is also formulated with Ginkgo - a
muti-functions herb that has been used in Asia for thousands of years. Among Ginkgo's many
attributes, the ones that are particularly useful for hair loss are its abilities to
increase blood circulation and inhibit inflammation of the scalp.

Crinagen, please click the following:
- There are other companies which also include some or all of the above
ingredients in their topcial formulas for hair loss. But what really sets Crinagen apart
from other topical lotions is that Dr. Razack is very honest about his product. Dr. Razack
makes no attempt to generate any hype or unsubstantiated claims about Crinagen. The
functions of each of Crinagen's ingredients are well documented in his book
"Conquering Hair Loss" with numerous references to scientific and clinical
testings for each ingredient. More importantly, Dr. Razack does not claim Crinagen to be
the next miracle for hair loss and charge people an astronomical amount for the product. I
have seen products that are formulated with more or less the same ingredients as Crinagen
but with a very hefty price tag and in some cases, unfounded claims.
- I think the book "Conquering Hair Loss" is very well written
and is an excellent reference for people who want more knowledge about various hair loss
treatments that are available in the market. The book is very straight forward and is easy
to understand. "Conquering Hair Loss" will definitely prepare you to be an more
sophisticated consumer when it comes to hair loss treatments. According to a spokeperson
for Raztec Enterprises, "As far as we know, there is no other recent book in print
that covers the entire spectrum of hair loss/replacement problems and options.......we
also offer e-mail updates to customers asking about new developments, and Dr. Razack will
answer customers' questions by e-mail."
- The book has about 235 pages and is divided into the following
chapters:
- Chapter 1 - Hair and Its Growth
- Chapter 2 - Androgenic alopecia
- Chapter 3 - Hormones and Hair Loss
- Chapter 4 - Genetics and Hair Loss
- Chapter 5 - Inflammation and Hair Loss
- Chapter 6 - The Antiandrogens
- Chapter 7 - Zinc
- Chapter 8 - Minoxidil
- Chapter 9 - Tretinoin
- Chapter 10 - Additonal Hair Promoting Agents
- Chapter 11 - Nutrition and Hair
- Chapter 12 - Hair Loss and Heart Disease
- Chapter 13 - Surgical Solutions to Hair Loss
- Chapter 14 - Artificial Systems
- Chapter 15 - Crinagen
- Chapter 16 - Review and Recommendations
- In addition, Crinagen is also great news for women who are suffering
from hair loss. As we all know, many of the hair loss treatments in the market are
designed for men. A perfect example is Propecia, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. Women are
speficially cautioned against taking Propecia for hair loss as the drug may cause birth
defects. But with the introduction of Crinagen (which contains Zinc and Saw Palmetto),
women can now benefit from a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor without having to worry about the
side effects.
- The only drawback ( a minor one) about Crinagen is that the lotion is
a little sticky and it makes it difficult to style your hair after using it. So I
restrict Crinagen to night time use only. However, that is just my personal experience and
I cannot say that will be the case for everybody.

I have to say that Dr. Razack's book on Conquering Hair Loss is very
informative and based on facts, not someone's opinions. I found it very helpful in making
a lot of decisions on treatment. I have to say that the product Crinagen is not something
I was too fond of though. Although it is an all natural liquid, it is brown, doesn't smell
too good, and doesn't seem to ever dry completely. It seems to stay damp and sticky. This
is not something I can put on my head and go to work with. It really weighs your hair
down. I have also emailed Dr. Razack many times and got a response from his help on how
busy he is and how he would eventually contact me. I never was contacted by him. In short,
the book is good, the Crinagen is another story. It might help if you don't mind a damp
sticky head.
thanks.
